Beach Street pursues projects in locations that can leverage a large embedded demand for surf, beach culture, and the surf lifestyle. Projects tend to be in sizable underserved metropolitan markets where the company can marry the man-made wave technology with the right level of hospitality including hotels, for sale real estate, food and beverage and/or other ancillary activities. Projects generally require in excess of 6 acres and the company has a distinct focus on repurposing related projects like golf courses and hotel/conference facilities.
Beach Street Development has secured master development rights to Wavegarden technology in the most important markets in North America including San Diego, Orange County, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Austin, and Washington DC. The company is also actively involved in projects in other markets as a co-developer and as the fee-based facility operator for owners without the experience necessary to run day-to-day operations.
